There are times when finding the perfect piece seems impossible. Well, I don't settle for not being able to find something...I make it myself! Building a new piece, refinishing an old one, a custom art piece...wherever the project takes me. If you're struggling to find the right piece that's as unique as you are, contact me to find out if a custom piece is the way to go.
This flat pack desk was a hand-me-down piece that was the right size for the space, but the color didn't fit with the design. I painted the outside white to pop on the gray walls, and the inside green to tie it in with the accent color for the room.
A few coats of white paint and the green interior gives this piece a modern look with a pop of color. Now it fits right in with the space.
The brown color just didn't fit in with the gray walls and was too close to the color of the hardwood flooring. It was a key piece in the room, so it needed to stand out!
This old hutch was in desperate need of a facelift! It's a display piece at Eastside Florist in Ontario, and I mostly just helped with this one. They had several pieces they were refinishing for their move and I was able to go help them one day. It was a bigger project than a single day since it required so many coats. And the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint I picked up at DesignSource 101 has a number of steps, so I had to go back to see the finished project a couple weeks later.
Custom wall installation designed to coordinate with DesigNich branding elements. This piece was created for the home office/guest room re-design.
These hand-painted woodblock pumpkins are adorable! They turned out better than I could have expected. A mixture of found objects and remnants of what I had on hand create a perfect addition to this year's fall decor.
